Native American Heritage (in Nat'l Archives)
Among the billions of historical records housed at the National Archives throughout the country, researchers can find information relating to American Indians from as early as 1774 through the mid 1990s. The National Archives preserves and makes available the documents created by Federal agencies in the course of their daily business.
NW Railroad Museum
The primary function of the library and archives is to support Museum research for exhibits and restoration but it is available by appointment to serious researchers. It is a non-lending and closed-stack library - people interested in using the library will have to fill out a form describing the type of information they are looking for so the library staff can pull appropriate material. Researchers may examine the material at the Museum and copying, if necessary, will have to be arranged by Museum staff.
Pacific Northwest Cornish Society
We provide communication regarding heritage/genealogical information pertaining to Cornwall, United Kingdom, to members in the Pacific Northwest region, promote the preservation of public and private Cornish heritage/genealogical material and to cooperate with other organizations in the furtherance of mutual objectives.
Reclaim the Records
RTR works to gain access to records that currently are not online anywhere and are not readily available to the public. They use state Freedom of Information Laws (FOIL) to force government agencies to hand over copies of the records. RTR digitizes the copies and put them online for FREE. Other groups and companies are free to make transcriptions and copies of the records. Besides their web site, you may subscribe to their newsletter or follow their work on facebook.
