HQRL Annual Meeting and Board Elections
The annual membership meeting of the Heritage Quest Research Library will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, January 13th, 2018 at HQRL.
This is your opportunity, as an HQRL member, to hear about things that have happened at your library during the past year from the Management Team and the Board of Trustees and to hear about plans for the year to come.
It is also your opportunity to vote for the four positions that are up for election on the Board of Trustees. Positions 2, 4, 6, and 8 are up for election this year. The four candidates receiving the most votes will be elected, write-ins are welcome.
Due to the rising costs of library operation, the Board of Trustees is proposing an increase in membership fees. An increase of $10 would put family memberships at $45, and individual memberships $40. This change must be ratified by a majority of voting members.
We ask that you complete the ballot that you receive and mail it or bring it by the library (HQRL) by 4p.m. Friday, January12th, 2018.
Family memberships have two ballots attached. If you wish, you may enclose the ballot in a secrecy envelope to insure the privacy of your vote.
The annual HQRL Volunteer Appreciation Party will be held Saturday, January 13th at 11 AM at the Faith Covenant Church in Sumner. All members and their families are invited to attend. This is our chance to honor and thank all our loyal volunteers. Finger food will be provided. You are welcome to bring desserts.-Jim Johnson
